Jenny Pierce, Director of the AIDS Library
Jenny Pierce was the primary supervisor on the project. Ms. Pierce served as Director of the AIDS Library 1999-2004. She was responsible for outreach and marketing to consumers and providers, resources development, collection development and collaborations with other agencies. Prior to her promotion to Director, Ms. Pierce served as a public service specialist. She has a MS in Library Science from Drexel University.
Valerie Sowell, Project TEACH Coordinator
Valerie Sowell was the primary person responsible for the creation of content for the interactive modules, as well as promoting their use for TEACH class members, and providing on-going assessment of the modules in use. She has been employed with Philadelphia FIGHT and Project TEACH for 2000-2005. She was the Lead Instructor of the Night TEACH class. Ms. Sowell has a Bachelor of Arts Degree in English from Coe College, in Cedar Rapids, IA.
Videsha Joshi, Nutritionist/Adherence Coordinator, Lax Center
Videsha Joshi is one of the staff members responsible for the creation of content for the interactive modules as well as communicating with our graphic designers on design and layout of the modules. She has been employed with Philadelphia FIGHT and the Jonathan Lax Treatment Center since 2004. She is the nutritionist for the clinic as well as the study coordinator for one of our many research projects. Ms. Joshi has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nutrition from Rutgers University, in New Jersey and a Master of Public Health degree from Columbia University in New York.
Eric Zempol, Developer/Consultant
Eric Zempol is an award-winning Graphic Designer. His background includes online/interactive education as well as being a professor at Drexel University's College of Media Art and Design. He designed the interactive modules. Mr. Zempol holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Graphic Design, from Drexel University.
